Natasha Kemp
BA(Hons) Painting Edinburgh College Of Art
Graduate 2015
Hello my name is Natasha Kemp and I am an artist living and working in Fife, Scotland. I recently graduated from Edinburgh College of Art, where I studied painting for three years. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and made use of lots of the facilities and opportunities to be involved with cross disciplines, allowing myself to explore my themes thoroughly with other materials than just paint. I enjoyed working across the disciplines as much as I hope you enjoy looking.
I am currently working from my studio in the new Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline, where I share a studio with two other artists. The building has a great atmosphere and I really enjoy working from there. I have been currently working on local landscape paintings and have been enjoying the relaxing atmosphere post grad studio life has to offer. I have also started running small painting classes from the studio and really enjoying this side of being an artist, sharing what I have learned over so many years of practice.
Before studying at Edinburgh College of Art I studied Contemporary Art Practice at Edinburgh's Telford College , where I gained my HND in Contemporary Art Practice. While studying there I became part of what is now the Reunification Collaboration. A collection of Scotland's newly emerging artists, all graduates from Scotland's leading art colleges who work across the disciplines and create stunning thought provoking contemporary shows. With a mixture of video, installation, sculpture, sound, photography, drawing, and painting, we aim to have at least one show a year together, so keep your eyes peeled for the next showing.
Currently showing at the Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline until the end of May 2016
